What to Know Before Your Session
To keep things safer for you and for me, for the time being, we’ll be doing things a little differently at the office.
Please read this carefully as there are things you’ll need to know before you arrive for your session.
Please do not arrive more than five minutes early. I am asking clients not to sit in the waiting room, but to remain in their vehicles until five minutes prior to their session time.
You will need to wear a mask before entering the office and will be asked to keep the mask on throughout your entire session, until you are out of the office. I will be wearing a mask as well.
You do not need to have an N95 mask; a cloth mask will suffice, and the latter will likely be more comfortable when face-down on the massage table.
(If you find the face cradle uncomfortable while wearing a mask, I have another option that I can demonstrate at the office.)
Do not come into the office sick. I am waiving all cancellation fees to make it stress-free for you to cancel, even same day. You can cancel online through your MassageBook account, or simply text Melissa at 573-444-1337.
Do not come into the office if you have been in contact with a sick person.
If you are at higher risk for severe illness, I strongly urge you to postpone your session. This includes clients who are 65 years and older, and those with conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, and suppressed immune systems.
When you arrive, you will be asked to complete a very short COVID-specific health intake and sign a waiver (preview form at the bottom of this page).
I encourage you to book and prepay online to minimize handling cash, cards, and payment devices, but you will still have the option to pay at your session. If you forget to pay when booking online, I can send you a Square invoice.
We've also instituted the following practices:
I will be wearing a face mask at all times during your session.
I’ve increased the amount of time between sessions to allow for thorough cleaning of the office with EPA-approved disinfectants.
I now have a HEPA air filter in the treatment room.
I will have a plastic bin available for your clothes while you’re on the table, so that I can easily sterilize it between sessions.
I’ll be covering the cushioned seating area in the treatment room with a linen, which will be changed after every client.
Hand sanitizer will be readily available in the room, and I encourage you to use it.
I understand that some of these policies add extra steps and inconvenience, and I really appreciate your understanding, which enables me to prioritize your and my safety during your session. I’ll be closely monitoring the situation and lifting these restrictions when it feels prudent to do so.
You will be asked to complete this form at the office, prior to each session.
Please take a moment to read over it before you arrive.
If you answer “yes” to any questions, I reserve the right to refuse treatment for your and my safety.
